Our 3-year old stallion Keilir was shown in a breeding show in May, 2011. He received 7,96 for conformation, but was given a first price as he showed both tölt and pace with good movements. Keilir stands 144 cm high at the withers.

Malla had a beautiful mare foal out of Hnokki on May 6th, 2011. Both the mother and foal, which has been named Áróra frá Terra, are doing very well. This summer we do not plan to have any mares covered, but in summer 2012 we plan to breed Malla again, possibly also her oldest daughter Sunna.

Malla was inseminated with Hnokki frá Fellskoti’s transported semen on June 10th, 2011. And typical of her, she became pregnant immediately. The foal is due early May, 2011.

Njála had a stallion foal out of Bragi frá Austurkoti on June 2nd, 2010. The little guy needed a little bit of special attention in the beginning, but is doing very well now. The foal was named Kjarni frá Terra.

Proud mothers were showing off their foals when they were united to the same paddock. We are still waiting for Njála to foal, and after that they will all be put out to pasture.

Malla foaled a handsome male foal early in the morning. His sire is young Bragi frá Austurkoti.

A beautiful red dun filly was born early in the morning. The mare is Hylling, and her sire is Stáli frá Kjarri.

Both Hylling and Malla have shown clear signs of oncoming foaling, so we are waiting anxiously. Njála’s due date is May 29th, so we have a busy time ahead of us. This summer we plan to breed only one mare, Njála. We are going to use Hnokki frá Fellskoti’s transported semen, and we very much hope that Njála will conceive.

All our horses are doing great despite the record cold and snowy winter. All our pregnant mares have been scanned within the last month and they are all still in foal. Njála will have a colt, the sexes of the other two foals could not be determined.
